Tristen Herbert Youth

Tristen Herbert was born December 5, 2000 in Tacoma, Washington and grew up in Burley, Washington. When he was 15 years old his family moved down to Lubbock while his parents attended SIBI. After high school, Tristen enrolled in the AIM program and served two and half years in Arlington, TX at the Woodland West Church of Christ and at the Tri-C Campus ministry. It was there in Arlington that he and his wife, Kaylee, met. After completing his AIM time, Tristen moved back to Lubbock to enroll in Sunset International Bible Institute to study the Word and serve as an AIM Assistant. 

Tristen and Kaylee were married in December of 2022 and have been married almost two years. They look forward to many more years together! Kaylee is currently studying at Covenant School of Nursing and is set to graduate in the fall of 2025.

 Tristen has served in various forms of ministry for the past 5 years. Currently he serves as one of our Youth Ministers and is one of the newest staff members here at Sunset, having started in May of 2024. Tristen feels blessed to serve at the congregation that he attended while in the youth group and desires to pour into the church family that helped develop his faith. 

A scripture that has impacted Tristen's life is Romans 12:1-2. He loves spending time with friends and family, doesn't matter what they are doing, as long as they are together. Tristen considers himself a jack of all trades and can't decide on one hobby since he changes his answer every few months. He loves learning new things and trying new foods!
